Checking out de ole T-Funky Tomorrow

Was getting gas in tow vehicle today and saw fine Twin Vee,27 ft with twin 250 Suzuki's on rear and just had to chat with proud owner and he said he fished de T-Funky yesterday and I know there is NO way I coulda or woulda missed seeing dat fine of a boat yesterday.Owner said they caught a few bass and told him bout the slabs I been slamming on each and every trip for past 3-5 T-Funky trips.Hope springs eternal and taking older son and grandson tomorrow, hope we continue our string of nabbing a few beasts on every trip.Got good supply of sac a lait maulers,Spoiler Shad, blue predominantly, with pink Crappie Psychic trailers attached to hook-think dat makes HUGE difference.Got three different colors rigged up-blue,white,natural and will see if color makes a difference.Older son went on late night trip outta Chapman pirogue and he missed a huge slab and 4 lb bass, both went after white Spoiler Shad!!!Hope we get on em early as T-Funky has a tendency to get quite a bit crowded up on week ends and lately, with lotta folks at home, starting to see a tad more fishing pressure mid-week,though not may folks launch nearly as early as me!!

CCAguns,Thanks, just posted on our relatively short(maybe 2.5 hrs)T-Funky trip and was really shocked at lack of boaters out there. We launched about 30 minutes later than I typically do on solo trips and still managed to nab some fat sac a lait. Was actually thinking about Trestles trip soon but hard to pass up easy T-Funky trip, think I burned quart of gas max and had I been solo, probably woulda stayed a tad longer.Damn Lowrance unit decided to act up this past Th and very hard to find schooling slabs w/o depthfinder, though possible.Sent her back after fishing today and goofy woman in Mandeville PO was apparently not paying attention to tape on floor, marking 6 ft and she was not close to me but way close to lady behind me!!Almost saw doggone fight at Covington Academy as some fella was smarting off about another fella parking his truck too far out and supposedly almost hit this fella!!!Man o man, when are folks gonna ease some dat pent-up stress-shoulda told both dem folks to go a-fishing like de ole Mandevillian been doing!!!

Sorry to disagree with ya bullcoon but I have yet to use chartreuse and biggest slab to date 1.3 and know where few true beasts up to and exceeding 3 lbs lurk hope to nab one not only for wall but just to show how fine ole T-Funky can be. They are chasing minnows hence Spoiler Shad terrorizing some slabs. Did use chartreuse trailers switched to pink and guess what big ole slab nabbed pink trailer.
