Wanted to treat grandson to fine and unique taxidermy studio up in Crossroads,MS,Sonny Miller's Taxidermy Studio.Had nice bass, personal best,to have Sonny do his artistic work on and wanted to treat grandson to nice road trip plus give him a chance to check out a fine and unique taxidermy studio with mounts ya aint gonna see in most studios.Sonny was referred to me by Dr.Robert Weiss and I have seen some of his work at Gus' in Slidell and about 4-5 years ago,Sonny worked his magic on two of 6 T-Funky bass I caught on one memorable trip and after nabbing personal best about a week ago,I knew exactly who I wanted to mount the recent T-Funky chunk!!Check out only 5 pics that do not begin to give justice to his unique studio. He has plenty of whole-body turkey mounts,a few whole body deer and bobcat mounts and an incredible yellowfin tuna mount!Dropped off bass today and Sonny promised to show grandson his train station and we can't wait!!Now my charge is to nab an even bigger bass, possibly a huge sac a lait and great news came today in the form of my replacement Lowrance unit. Now I might be able to not only find schools of sac a lait, might find structure holding some dem chunks and gonna hit Gus' for replacement Slab Runner dat I unfortunately got snagged(was weedless???)guess not snag-less!!!Fine lil lure and my suspicion is dat some dem T-Funky slabs got a tad lure-fatigue and tossing a Slab Runner where I had been tossing Spoiler Shad might just be de magic bullet, just like in salt water fishing where a change of lure might mean difference in size and quantity of fish nabbed!!Happy Easter to all and hope we weather de predicted storms tomorrow!!!
