Long weekend, hard to tell what day it is, all me knew was it was a fishing day. Checked with Big Pablo first, he be working. Texted Big Don, no response, so me called him later asks me you want to go, yessum says he. Ask me Big Lucy going, yessum says he, so we all set for our Tuesday trip to our Disney World known as Delacroix Island.
SIGNS:
• Goodnight sleep
• Got FORD transporter back for this trip
• Loaded a few items of gear & tackle, long with live bait box
• No wildlife sightings along Hwy 11 or 90
• Not many boats on Hwy, gas stations, and/or boat launches
• Met up at Team Jo-Jo official meeting place, Waffle House in Chalmette for 4:30 AM
• Passed on all the eating place, we on a mission for salad mixings for Big Lucy
• Check point Abel water level down 6â€
• Check point Bravo, water falling at Reggio canal
• Reached the home of the Bay Flat Sr, no safety speech, Big Don needed one for sure, he almost fell in the space between the Bay Flat Sr and the dock, down he went, got one foot wet did he.
• Yamaha Dream Machine looking like she be idling all night, she be ready to go with very little effort from her battery.
• Quick stop at Lionel’s for some ice, go juice, and 50 lively BIG shrimp, Big Don needed some back up.
• Off to spot # LC-3 to start our fun day chasing the elusive Silverwonders.
CONDITIONS:

o Lake Campo & surrounding areas
o Locate drop offs, channels, type bottoms, soft, oyster shells, hang ups, etc., etc.,
o Build up an inventory of spot numbers so can fish rising / falling tides and all wind directions, know / learn where the current lines are.
• Bring home some salad mixings for Big Lucy
• Try to show Big Don new areas and get him to expand his comfort level when he be running about by himself.
1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Tough today, wind very strong, but we used it to our advantage, tide and wind going in same direction, perfect for the Oak River Troll technique.)
2 MOVING WATER: ( Tail end of falling, start of a rising, perfect it be, moving all day, was still pouring in when we came in)
3 WATER CALRITY: (At first me thought it was going to be a wasted trip as it did not look good9 a 2 minus) at our first stop, But as we worked our way back in the clarity improved real good)

5 PATIENTS: (Needed some in the AM, we came across (2) boats working east side of Lake Camo pass, we passed the time away watching 2 fisherpersons wearing the Silverwonders out, this made me day, me now know it possible to find elusive Silverwonders. After we got on them it was steady action doing the Oak River Troll)

o Not nice to make fun of someone’s mishap, (Big Don steeping off dock) as me did the same thing when we returned to slip, but me did not get wet. All me could think about was me $800.00 phone, glad it did not get wet
• Saw a boat with 5-6 fisherpersons on board wearing the Silverwodners out in Four Horse Lake and cut to Lake Campo, they were reeling them 3-4 at a time, me enjoyed them enjoying their outing
• If not catching, me second best outing, watching others catch
• Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Hands down Big Don, he lead in all category / divisions / spices / size, he was on a roll of which me could not dodge or catch up with, Big Don fisherperson of the day.

Silverwonders are in, Four Horse, pass to Lake Pato Caballo & Lake Campo has, is, will be the home of the elusive Silverwonders for a few more weeks, “You don’t have to go to know†know this they are in those areas, all you need to know is the right time, technique & presentation.
