Re: Waterfowl Breeding Survey
That does suck that they cancelled. I did look at my DU mag today, most of the breeding grounds for our flyway are in excellent condition.

Hopefully the ducks use our flyway all the way to the gulf this winter.

YepSteelsprayer, hope springs eternal,at least by me!!Hard to fathom three sub-par duck seasons stacked up!!!On good news front,on my last Trestles trip did see two small flocks of blue wing teal at mouth of Bayou Liberty.Guess de Feds wanna be safe with their employees(serious liability)and at least we do have copious amounts of long-term data to support duck hunt scheduling.I always treat teal season as my preseason and this past teal season found plenty, trouble was de Nuck and Futz duo were not exactly on de proverbial 'X' but knows where dat 'X' might be this coming teal season!!

I saw a big flock of teal this past Friday as well by Four Bayou Pass when I was fishing. We ended up catching 35 trout and three reds. one of the reds was 22 pounds. Naturally it went back into the water.
