I don't fish for perch but know the Tchefuncte has quite a perch and sac a lait population. There are a few launches that would give you access to what may turn out to be incredible perch fishing.Ya did not mention where ya live and if ya live on SShore you could launch at Williams Blvd and head west to Duncan Canal(locals call it Parish Line Cana) and it should be loaded with perch awaiting crickets, worms, small shiners, etc. If ya don't mind hitting NShore there is Cane Bayou(launch is located off Hwy 190 just adjacent to Fountainbleau Fire Station)but ya need to exercise caution as there are stumps, etc, plenty obstructions, might wanna see if ya can possibly follow another generous boater out there.Tchefuncte is a gem of a gem and there is small launch, located at end of 3Rivers Rd,kinda hard to launch as ya gotta back up all the way from a nearby neighborhood. There is much bigger launch in what is called Ole Landing, located at end of 4th st where it intersects with Jancke. Some folks shore fish from the boat launch and you could walk the shore and toss some bait at hungry fish.Years ago,me and a fellow who used to post on another website got together, fished a nice section of little Tchefuncte and I was lucky enough to catch fat sac a lait(used this fellow's electronics to find brush pile)and we donated nice sac a lait to lady who was using shiners to nab some nice sac a lait and think she fished right by boat launch and was the lucky beneficiary of bunch of donated sac a lait plus what she caught,if memory serves me correctly, she had about 12 sac a lait!!Bayou Lacombe offers some bank fishing as well and lotta locals fish right from Lake Road.Hope those help and if Ruddock aint too far plenty folks bank fish there as well!!Catch up bunch and have nice fish fry-sac a lait hard to beat!!
