On the water rant..

Is it just me or has there been a flood of people on the water with this Covid-19 BS. I have never seen so many un-ethical boaters in my 40years of fishing. I work a rotation so it gives me the time to fish weekdays to avoid the crowds but that has been a thing of the past lately. DO NOT PULL UP TO A MAN FISHING ASKING WHAT HE 'GOT' AND THEN WHERE HAS EVERYONE BEEN FISHING! My goodness people! I had some guy pull up the other day half step throwing a 2 ft wave seen me catch a fish and started fishing with in 20 yards of me going ahead of my path. YES I told him how I felt in a respectable way but he did not care so I returned the favor. Also...Plowing water through 'NO WAKE ZONES' or just not slowing down at all. How would you like if your street was flooded and Billyboy with I'm different but like everyone else truck hauls it down your street throwing water in your house or yard causing damage. PUT YOUR TIME IN LIKE MOST, RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE AND STOP BEING GOOGANS!

PS: You know how you are...

I know how you feel. We were fishing in vermillion bay with my family. And we were catching fish then a crab boat with his family comes right on top of us the fish quit biting.

Yep know how you feel, yesterday morning I went fishing, was all peaceful till around 8:30 and a whole flotilla was heading right towards me , looking like a California gold rush! Not a dam one of them knows how to slow down ! Yep that COVID - 19 has a lot of people at home , some of them have no Common Sense ! Had to leave the area I was fishing , just don’t like a crowd that close to me . Had one fella blasting his music clear across the water, after I had left could still hear it from a long distance, wish they all will get back too work soon ! 🧙‍♂️🎣

Guess I have been EXTREMELY lucky and have had mostly courteous boaters, though a few need to have knots knocked on their heads throwing huge wakes and getting way too close.Fishing the Hopedale dam just a week ago we had plenty of distance between me and my fishing buddy and the others fishing same general area, same as when we fished the Rocks that same day.Fishing the T-Funky a totally different animal and fishing the Lake lately has been very courteous boaters(guess folks do NOT realize how good the Lake can be)!!!Got a few trips planned for next week and hope folks practice not only social distancing but COMMON SENSE and refrain from tossing huge wakes and getting right on top of others. For kicks, check out one of the recent AJfishes You Tube videos where he and Dave Raggio have to hide their fish from 'Googans'!!!

Glad to see I’m not alone on this and your 100% no common sense. I was taught at a very young age how to respect people on the water and I’m just not seeing it. Maybe once people run out of there government money and get back to work they will calm down a little.

Plenty of 2,500 rpm club members these days. It's especially bad when you have you're young kids in you're boat like my son they can't brace themselves as good and have a hard time taking those waves from boats while fishing. Gets me fired up Everytime that he could end up in the water from losing his balance. True sportsman know how to treat each other. Be safe out there and hopefully it gets better

Redlowe170 ...That\'s one place I refuse to fish when the weather warms up. I have several buddies that lived on the Teche and it\'s non stop traffic. Another good friend of mine sold his lot to build someplace else because of boats and jet skies passing 10ft from his dock from dusk till dawn.
