Thought it would be a good opportunity to see what others have caught. Its not everyday you see really big trout much less catch one. So I'll start it off. My biggest weighed 7.5 lbs and was caught in the summer late '90s in Violet. We always did good there but never caught any real big trout. We'd been catching on live shrimp and salt water assassins. I tossed a very small shrimp and cork went straight down. Thought it was a red til we got it in. She had no eggs but prob would've pushed 8 lbs if she still had. Everything you read about trout says bigger ones primarily feed on fin fish which is why something like a top dog catches mostly bigger trout. That tends to be true but they're also opportunistic and will not pass up an easy meal. I'm also a firm believer in luck when it comes to fishing, I just happen to be in the right place at the right time. I can't say that about most of my time on the water but do know others that seem to be way more lucky than good LOL!.So what say you? Post a pic of the biggest trout you caught and story behind it. And to all the haters, please keep negative comments to yourself. . . .
