My brother and I took our sons to Hopedale this morning for our Father’s Day get away. (albeit a day early). Headed straight to Bay Eloi at first light and it was game on all morning. 64 trout 4 reds and14 sheep heads. Caught mostly on live shrimp under cork and a few on soft plastics. Good times!

Last Cast,Very nice haul, indeed and not sure if ya know but dem Trestles absolutely OVER-loaded with sheepshead and probably bunch of reds, but dem sheepshead are not easily targeted with soft plastics and I told my sons we might head to Trestles this coming Fri,toting some dead shrimp(Jesuit Rodeo Fri and Sat next week)and I am not a bait-tosser but certainly ups de odds, especially for a Rodeo.Talked to quite a few fishers this past week and most were having a blast nabbing as many sheepshead as one feels like cleaning!!!CCAguns and I are planning a return trip to Hopedale, launching outta Rigolets Estates and making boat run to fine Biloxi Marsh.Happy Father's Day!!

De Wiz alerted me to very recent AJfishes You Tube and he stated de case dat he and Dave zigged when dey shoulda zagged and dey fished Delly-Croix vs Hopedale-he has been nabbing plenty fine fish in Hopedale area and dey ONLY toss soft plastics,my favorite way of chasing fish!!Can't blame his reasoning-wanted to avoid lines at launch and TONS of fishing pressure!!

Thanks Capt. I knew you looked familiar that morning just couldn’t put name to face. we had a blast with our boys. We stayed the night right there at Mark’s place. It was at times chaotic with fish, bait, lures, hooks and tangled lines flying in every direction. Just the way I like it. We also had a 2nd boat in our group with my buddy, his son, father and uncle. Their first time out and followed us. They came in with 60 trout as well. Already planning next trip

I got to be honest, you guys did better than we did. It was so pretty we went for the gusto and ran deep into the Sound looking only for big trout and it just did not happen. Had to run back closer in and weed trough a lot of throw backs. That's how it is some times when you run deep, you are either a hero or a zero. Well you know were I am now, hope to see you guys around soon.
