Good Morning Hopedale

A good morning on the water in Hopedale. Started sticky and muggy but as the sun came up it wasn’t bad with overcast skies and breezy. Im guessing the haze was the desert sand making its way around. Either way it was pleasant most of the morning. I was surprised not to see armada of boats on road heading down early morning. Not sure if the “sand storm” kept folks away or if they expected rain but was nice not having a crowded marina or traffic on the water. Especially for Saturday. Found stained water in Bay Eloi but fishable and the fish agreed. However they needed convincing. Had to work for every bite and soft plastics flat out did not work at all for us today. Fortunately we had live shrimp. Ended the morning with 49 trout, 2 reds and 6 sheep heads.

Looks like y'all had fun! Got to catch fish when the kids are along, so shrimp can help the cause.

LastCast : Nice haul ! Glad y’all got on dem, I got up early this morning around 3:30 am made a pot of coffee and sat out on patio , didn’t hear any boats heading down the road as they make that turn on new extension of JP , figured that dust had a lot to do with the shortage of boats going fishing , or maybe not much of a tide movement on charts for Hopedale area today , I’m gonna try going out later this week. when dust and tides are better, thanks for your report 🧙‍♂️🎣
