Two limits of bass in a hour

Made another trip to Bayou Liberty this morning with a good bass fishing buddy of mine John Retif. We got a early start because be knew the rain was coming. The tide was completely out and was actually just starting to come back in by the end of the trip. We worked the grass edges In the main bayou just like my pass few trips. With it being overcast I decided to put on the saltwater assassin curly “salt and pepper” with green tail and was able to put a few in the boat. John was throwing a White 4in Zoom fluke and that was the key. I switched to the white fluke and we had 20 Bass by at 7:15am. There’s a lot of short striking and small bass but it’s nonstop action.

Y’all did better than I did. Awesome haul!

I went yesterday to the lake I grew up on,I only caught 6 but the 6 weight was a tad over 21lbs. All on top water. Missed a few and a couple blow ups that were short strikes. Still was a good trip. Glad to see a few other post about bass trips good and bad. I mostly bass fish so keep the reports coming. Tight lines fellas.

Bayou Lacombe might be better spot for future trips--made trip there this past Th and only managed a few bass,though biggest a solid 2 lb chunk and we more than likely goofed by hitting Lake P and wasting valuable time there and by the time we hit Bayou Lacombe,the topwater bite,typically bigger fish,was about over.Keep trying to convince self to avoid Lady P until water gets right but Bayou Lacombe was gorgeous this past Th,pretty confident had we started there just about daybreak,woulda had plenty of 2+lb bass vs just the one!!!
