Perch at Liberty Trace Lake

Reply

Had some free time from cutting hay and decided to pick up my old fly rod and work on the perch. In 1-1/2 hours, I landed 27 - chinquapin, blue gills and sun perch, and an assortment of small bass. Lost four white poppers in the process. This was back in late June and I was asked to post it anyway, but I hope to get back up soon!

CCAguns,Mighty nice lil stringer of panfish and can't wait to get with ya on not only a return trip to Liberty Trace but to chase some bass and reds locally.Think we made de proper call to not try fishing today, got bunch of stuff to tend to around de house and think first thing I am gonna do is to prime and paint powertrim unit as cap scheduled to arrive tomorrow and might get Kubota steering box either next Mon or Tues.Fishing with Buddy and his grandson,Max,Sunday and we might be to either borrow Buddy's 4-wheeler or get him to shuttle us to and fro as dat lil Kubota is quite a hike from the main road in deer lease.Glad I was able to give ya a hand dropping dat ole Magnolia tree, too bad Karen did not witness the tree falling(how cool was dat, watching tree fall well away from it while taking water break!!).I told ya dat Magnolia wood is quite dense and father-in-law swore that pile-driving companies used big hunk of Magnolia wood to cushion blow from pile driving hammer and I can now see why!!Forgot to get ya dem Jalepeno peppers older son picked-will get with ya later today!!
