• Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Don came out the gate quick, jumped ahead 4 to 1. It took Oneofthepack a little time to get the feel. Changed up form a Tandem rig to a single rig, it was on, on. By the time we left spot LC-5A me thing we reached 18 at 9 each.
Spot # 57A proved to be a croaker hole, Big Don and his dead shrimp was all over that, me nothing.
Spot 57 made a stop so Big Don could fish Redworries, the lair birds where diving all over the place, so me casts out the tandem rig, second cat nice Silverwonder. Once me zeroed in on the strike zone, it was on, on, on, had 3 or 4 double hooks ups, even had a Gaff Top on bottom lure and a Silverwonder on top lure. Big Don could not get the angle on them, and he be fishing with a single rig. Says me take me other pole with tandem rig, use that let it go to bottom, let it run to it gets on a 45* to back of boat, that work it in back to you. Big Don just could not get the feel or presentation down.
Big Don dominated the croaker, crabs, hardheads, fresh water cats, and the Redworrier category, but based on the Silverwonder totals, me think Oneofthepack edged him out today.
But there is always tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUGGESTIONS:
Plenty action to be had, bring live or dead shrimp, maybe both, lure fishing is a little slow. Find & fish current lines, fish inside the arch if it away from shoreline. If close to shore line fish outside of arch in middle, let the lure run 180* left to right, find the strike zone and keep you lure it in as much as you can.
“You got to go to knowâ€
PONDER OF THE DAY:
There is only two things we are sure of, death & taxes, Team Jo-Jo says dame them both, fish & owe till we drop.
Q&A:
If you get cheated by Mother Nature, who do you complain to?
TEAM JO-JO’S FUTURE STRATAGEM:
Boater education class tomorrow, no plans for Sunday or next week, and all next week Open Bay Flat Sr, if a first mate looking give us a call, and come jump on board the Bay Flat Sr for a fun trip, catching in question.
Good Fishing
