Transducer mounting with lift pad

Reply

Looking for some guidance on fitting a Garmin(CV52HW-TM) Transducer on my flat. It has a lift pad that seems to make any location less than ideal.

I'm thinking the red or green box, but I could be way off. This'll be my 1st time installing a transducer.

look up transducer savers and shields. They make a spring loaded device that you mount on the boat and then put the transducer on it. If not you will break it off like I did. I would try the red circle first and see.

I would check with Todd Schultz at Dixie Trolling Motors in Mandeville before proceeding with ANY transducer mount!!Do not have his number handy but know lotta folks who have used him and EVERYONE well-satisfied,just saying!!
