Teal sighting

Reply
I was behind the island on the south end of false river this morning catching gar and seen a flock of 13 blue wings along the shore. They are in the state! Can’t wait! Anyone else seeing teal?

GB3 and I saw two blue wings when we checked his crab traps this past Th.Bayoubob and I saw zero today when we fished Lake P,might be opportune time for me to scout both E and W,have heard that last year they showed up W and E of where we typically hunted!!!

Just got a new motor put on my duck boat so have not been riding the Delacroix mash as much as usual. There are always a few down by this time. Plan to bring my boat down to the island this weekend coming and will be scouting for both teal and gator season. Will let you know what I see.

Thanks,Proud Pop,ya know I am a Public/Federal land warrior and might be checking out Joyce and Maurepas and Manchac.Heard from a trusted source that Joyce had a bunch last teal season but regular duck season was a hit/miss proposition. Not sure if ya knew this but Big Branch and most likely the other FWR's are allowing duck hunts til 2:00pm,nice departure from the norm, and blinds and decoys need to be removed by 3:00pm.Should have ole SouthFork's motor completely repainted, just awaiting receipt of hub for prop and Precision Propellor in Metairie doing re-hub!!Gonna harvest some large Palmetto branches and ya probably saw the camo job I did on Chapman and also redid cypress gunwales using vinyl I got from Steve Geraci!!

Mandevillian-get out and nab some T-Funk chunks!!

Three bands seen in Spanish Lake area while bass fishing reported by a friend hope more make it down.

That will be good if they allow you to hunt till 2 in the afternoon on federal lands. As long as no storms show up during teal season I am looking forward to doing some teal hunts if they show up.

Bayoubob and I mentioned the same thing yesterday, hope de Tropical Storms stay away.De Wiz been telling me dat the grass situation down in Reggio is incredible and on NShore same scenario.Gonna see what transpires!!

I saw group of 25-30 teal here at my duck camp near Lake Village, Arkansas yesterday afternoon. Circled my camp then landed in catfish pond across the street. Cool front with 20 mph north winds blew in after lunch and brought down teal with it.

As for as the storm goes on my windy app right now there will be a storm off the coast of Pensacola by the 25th and the 26th but could change course some by then.
Reply
Now I told you about a storm going into the gulf from the app I have now it is looking like it is going up the east coast but being a big hurricane. But we will see it could change again.

Gonna keep fingers and toes crossed-just responded to text I got from de Wiz-he gonna be fishing one his spots dat always seems to produce nice reds and we seeking specks, reds, possibly flounders.GB3 and I chatted this past Th bout the teal at his fine Quack Shack in Lake Village,AR and might sees if de Nuck and Futz Duo can meet up with de GB3 and Al duo to thin out some dem teal!!Lucky me,got Wifey to get me de Sr.License and she actually did the HIP certification, before de State started charging $2 and alls I needs is de Federal Stamp.Dem NShore March ducks gonna be in for a surprise come Regular Duck Season. Here's hoping ole Hopedale treats CCAguns,me and Medicare Client righteous tomorrow!!!

I do hope you have some good luck with your teal hunts. I will be scouting big branch the week before it opens to see what is in there as well. I think my windy app is going a little crazy as well yesterday it positioned a storm up the east coast and this morning puts one on top of us lol I guess I will have to just wait and see.

Man,we had a marathon day out in Hopedale and think some gremlins jumped aboard ole CCAguns' boat as somehow his phone screen shattered and think I accidentally left mine in his truck(tried to call him after we split up our take-12 specks total outta probably well over 60 boated)and his phone was indicating that he was unavailable!!!Gonna check out the weather as de Wiz was telling me SW LA might be de bullseye for this storm!!!Got plenty of non-ethanol gas for our generator and guess I need to get few more gallons. We did see nice band of bluewings in Hopedale Marsh and hope local marshes have some teal as well.Pearl River WMA is also an option, though I typically do not hunt there unless mid-week due to way too much pressure, unfortunately!

I hope you did not have any banana's on the boat with you there.:) It is good to see you did catch some fish and seen a few teal there. I am going to go and get my boat out of the shop today and hope I can get out sometime soon but trapping pigs have been keeping me busy lately. My app I usually use to track storms is not showing anything now for the next week but will just to have to keep looking at it as it seems to be changing daily.

No bananas on board but two rods did get broken and doggone Versamax Bolt steel wire broke and probably will NOT use those anymore, have an arsenal of popping corks to choose from.I wanted to start with Top Dog and we did try for about 20 minutes but quickly switched over to popping corks with shrimp, either live or mostly soft plastic shrimp imitation-I need to get a new supply of the pink Tsunamai(they were killer)but the smaller specks with their needle-sharp teeth ripped em up.Should have my boat ready real soon-still yet to get prop back but feel pretty confident I will get prop back soon!!
