Gators and Teal

Reply
My buddy Jimmy, Paw-Paw, and myself each had a group aboard on Sundays Gator hunt in Delacroix. Combined we pulled in 11 gators with 2 over 10ft , a couple at 9ft, and most of the other at least 8ft. The age of our hunter ranged from a 5 year old on his first gator experience, to an 80 year old veteran still getting after it. It was a great day on the water sharing lots of family fun and creating lifelong memories.

We also saw a decent number of teal flying around this weekend. Hoping this teal season will be a good one.

I very limited room for some hunters if interested in getting in on some action.

Stay safe out there this weekend!

So much for the cool front they predicted this week. Looks like heat and humidity for opening weekend.

Yep, disappointed that the cool front looks to be fizzling out. Will still be giving the teal and gators all I can dish out.

Proud Pop,Tried to respond earlier via I-Phone but me and electronic devices and ATT Internet do not quite get along!!!Good news for me,at least, was the relatively dry weather we experienced today on NShore!!Got chance to finish shooting OMC white on upper portion of motor(did not think ole finish would show but I did NOT paint high enough so took care of dat today).Gonna shoot 2-part epoxy clear coat, called glamour coat, who said duck boats do not have tad of glamour to em!!!Got motor and motor pan shot today, will shoot lower unit and rest of motor tomorrow, let de ole gal sit a day or two and Wifey and I gonna seek some fish(gotta sneak in teal scout at same time)and hope we see a few teal on our fishing trip!!What has thrown monkey wrench in my scouting plans, besides not having ole SouthFork finished with her motor paint job,is that my dear mom's tenants decided to vacate, not totally unexpected, but a tad earlier than we anticipated and Wifey and I been busting it getting her Kenner rental house ready for occupancy Oct 1.We sanded three rooms that had fine but weathered red oak hardwood flooring and we gotta put finish coats on floor and got plenty of walls to install paneling on and she should be ready to rent by end of this month. My dear mom and Wifey both know how much I love duck hunting and this is no exception, gotta consider myself an extremely lucky guy!!!

Will try to attach latest pics and Crescent City Color in Mandeville is where I got the majority of my paint from, other than the OMC White that came from West Marine, both Mandeville store and Gulfport location.Very pleased with shine imparted by glamour coat clear,2-part epoxy, gasoline and weather-resistant!!
