Video from the first weekend of teal season. Sometimes we get the shots on camera and things work out and sometimes we don't. Great start to the teal season.

Glad y'all liked the video.

We were fortunate to be where the ducks were this past weekend. Most of us duck hunters know what to do when we get the chance as we did. I often read post about change your decoy spread, or other tactics to improve your duck hunting. That all sounds nice but until you are in an area that has ducks you are dreaming. As they say in retail location, location, location is key. Unfortunately for duck hunters the location can change which makes this a tough sport to be real good at. Empty skies the last few years has been tough, but things can change.

Happy hunting...

Glad you're off to a good start. Water is falling nicely down that way behind the storm........but looks like there may be something around this weekend coming up the Gulf. Keep an eye on it

Delta Duckman,Can't second dat opinion regarding location, location, location and where de Nuck and Futz Duo have been hunting,MT skies the norm vs the exception!!!Hope we see some teal balance of this teal season!!

Enjoyed the video as always! Something that I took note of from your two videos: On day one you had ol school woodland camo shirt and it actually blended in better than the other patterns the guys were wearing. Even the mesh back hat the big guy was wearing blended better. I would never have thought this. I always use the MarshGrass pattern, but it clearly did not blend as well.

Try that bottomland Camo works well whether your after ducks, bucks or late season turkey woods... all I wear now!

One thing bout teal, dey aint de sharpest tools in de tool chest and often times have had em come right back to where they saw their buddies get dropped!!I often joke with my Duck Mafia bout painting some Chlorox bottles brown and tossing dem babies into my decoy spread and see what transpires!!!

P.S. This is also de time of year dat woodies and mottled ducks seem to wanna drop into decoy spreads!!!

There's a lot to be said for old school camo, it works Drake the only one offering it that I've found, Pirogue hunting in the age of mud boats is another overlooked method that work very well as well. Nice watching Teal fall out of the sky in the video! Drug everything back down to the island to give it a shot!

I concur on the Mossy Oak Bottomland pattern. I use it mostly for deer hunting but have worn it in the duck blind too! Also agree on the ol school pirouge hunting and its advantages over SD blind boats. No question you will do better especially in the big season. Lastly, I agree that teal are pretty dumb and you could probably wear a white T shirt and stand up and kill a few IF they are around.

De Nuck and Futz duo employs lotta ole-school tactics and I ALWAYS hunt outta my camo-stenciled Chapman,Nuck prefers to fashion a blind using big palmetto fronds and I use Chapman, stick anywhere from 15-18 palmetto fronds all around Chapman and if I take my time and have them properly set up,retrieves are a snap, only have to take down maybe 2-3 fronds to allow me to be able to slide pirogue into water and quickly retrieve down teal, critical when gators all around!!!Love me my ole-school hunts, only way I hunt.Gonna camo-stencil newest member of de Chapman fleet, dat way even Nuck will have custom camo-stenciled Chapman to easily hide as he makes a separate blind!!
