Our rice field was finally flooded and huntable. We shot a 3 man limit in about 20 minutes and it was even better than my opening day hunt. Never seen that many ducks before in my life. Bands from 30-5 all day. Clipped a little video from my GoPro and uploaded it for yall, last 3 birds to finish our limit. I?m new to calling too so the feed call might not sound the best but we got it done.

hey wiz , just curious .. not sure what the big deal is about shooting ducks on the water . i personally like letting them land and jump shooting them . I mean do you shoot a deer when its running or standing still ? lol i know you have one bullet verse a bunch of bb's . but same princible .. its an EASIER shot . but im also not the best shooter either ... sooooo that could have something to do with it to lol

I'm just glad to see an influx of birds in the state which is a pleasant change from seasons past thanks for posting that, proof in the pudding is on the tailgate of the truck, water shooting is a preference some do some don't, If we have youth hunters with us either duck or deer it's however that young person harvest that animal goes. I try not to shoot on the water but to also say I haven't shot on the water would lets say wouldn't be exactly true and jump shooting is fun I'll admit it. I do try to consistently do pass shooting but if I can line 2 or 3 on the water it's on! LOL. Other times we've just let complete bands land and observed to watch the interaction of the birds with the spread sat there and drank coffee. Hopefully y'all have another great weekend of hunting if ya do try to post it, Currently the SE part of the state is suffering from super high water levels, if the SW part of the state can hold them even better they'll eventually make it this way

Nah actually those were the first group we let land. I’m new to calling and we were just seeing if we could get them to commit. I’ll be posting some sky busting soon if that’s what you want to see.

Didn’t mean to ruffle any body’s feathers lol , each to their own , was taught it was unsportsmanship too blast them on the water, unless it was a cripple when I was a kid . Sorry if I offended any body ! 🧙‍♂️🎣

Don't believe ya did, just a preference for some like ya wake baits that I got away from but due to your post I'm using again, pumpkin patch catchin.

I see nothing wrong at all on shooting on the water. Sometimes teal come in so close that you have to let them land and then we will take our first shot on the water as long as we don't risk sinking dekes.. Then try to pick off the others after they take flight. Keep doing what you doing Baw! BTW: your calling sounded pretty good to me. What brand call was that and was it a Teal specific call?

De Nuck and Futz Duo took off last few days(I have ton of repair work to tend to on my mom's 60 year old Kenner rental house)and where we have been hunting been flooded big-time.Ole Bobrobglob way off base saying I just recently started duck hunting(each to his own, just like shooting ducks on water),what he needs to realize is I only started posting on this site maybe 6-8 years ago, well after Big Branch opened, think we hunted it about first years it opened. My black duck came from a nice Big Branch pond extremely hard to get to and hope de Nuck and Futz Duo hits a few dem blue rockets this week end!!!What is so funny is Social Media has gotten to the point where folks migrate to Facebook(never want to even go to Facebook)or sites like this to gather info on EXACTLY where de 'X' is and why would anyone even give the most remote of hints where they have worked so hard to get to de proverbial'X'!!!
