I Am Hunting In The Wrong Spot

Date Hunted 11/25/20:

Three of us went out and hunted the best blind on our duck lease and shot a total of 5 ducks. 3 Dosgris and 2 whistling tree ducks. Not much in the sky. One flight of greys high with no chance of coming down. Teal are gone for now and so are the buffleheads that showed up last week. We will be back at it Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

To add insult to injury I live near Lafreniere Park and I was driving home through the park and the soccer fields were loaded with whistling tree ducks. I stopped for a few minutes and watched them piling in there, what a show. That's the way it goes.

WOW! Mexican squealers out the yen yang. If the powers that be would turn us loose on that flock, what fun we would have.

Just my observation while fishing last week , noticed about dozen teal sitting in a pond around 10:30 , I was a few hundred yards away and I started to hear a surface drive coming from a distance those teal picked up and hauled azz the other direction fast , seen that a few times over the past few years , while fishing , some of those boats have a high performance exhaust systems that I can hear from a couple miles away , last year grays were taken flight as soon as they started them engines ! 🧙‍♂️🎣

Wiz,Dat definitely has negative impact on duck populations and de Nuck and Futz Duo employs dem Ole School tactics using much quieter Johnson 50 outboard and transporting pirogues way back in de marshes,only spook ducks as we stealthily paddle in!!!

Where de Nuck and Futz Duo hunted this past teal season,we spotted HUGE flocks of squeelers,not sure if dem babies hitting Jefferson Parish or not but know lotta folks living on Bayou Lacombe and they were harboring HUGE flocks of dem squeelers-love to shoot one dem big ole ducks!!

Delta,Took family to Audobon Park Zoo and we both hunting in wrong spots as there were nice flocks of mallards,woodies,geese,and squeelers and here are two pics I took today!!
