Thanks to Hurricane Zeta, we did more work at the camp than hunting the week leading up to Thanksgiving. But, we managed to get my 10 and 12 year old nephews out in some stands where they each got to shoot their first hogs. As 2020 would have it, we didn't have any stands back up in time for them to hunt the either sex weekend. They both got to see deer from the stands....but, they were all flat heads. I was with the older nephew when he shot his hog using my AR-10 in .308. The younger nephew was with his dad and shot his hog using a Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoor. We got the older nephew's shot on video. The younger nephew got a 'post shot interview' from his dad which is well worth the 3 minute watch!
