Always hope for Second Split.Where I hunt,typically we get nice influx of mallards and we have a decent amount of mallards and resident mottled ducks,though this year we have NOT seen the typical mallard/mottled duck flocks.Got my older son excited about joining me and he and I used to really bust it,I still do,and those willing to push it to de limit typically reap the rewards!!!Good luck Second Split!!

P.S. Try smoking whole ducks,older son smoked a few and that was by far the best way to cook ducks.He put satsuma in body cavity and not sure what seasonings he used but the ducks he smoked Sunday were superb!!
