Good day for trout

Yesterday morning headed down to Delacroix area , was taken a chance since water has been down few days ago , got too the launch and surprised water was back up , headed out too the lake and only couple shorty’s so changed directions and headed too a place I know that had trout with the right conditions , wasn’t disappointed , using twitch baits had a good time catching and releasing some nice trout total for the day was 21 trout , released to fight another day winds picked up so called it quits early ,good to be back out on da water . 🧙‍♂️🎣

Wiz,As typical for you,great winter catch and keep forgetting to comment.Took a ride to Slidell area to snag bunch of thick palm fronds we use to stealthily hunt in marsh dat got battered down and only way back in treelines does one find not only plenty duck feed but tall grass to hide in and get pirogue blended up so well dat mottled ducks and mallards have absolutely NO idea where I am hunkered down.Water levels tomorrow gonna be fairly low but ole SouthFork LOVES getting her owner through low water and hope to use Carolina-rigged Berkley Gulp to smash a few pumpkins,possibly nab a few bass and specks.Doggone Lake salinity off de charts and hardly any grassbeds survived(think I will take high salinity vs thick grassbeds)and dem reds most likely gonna be deep tomorrow!!!
