speckle_searcher,At least yall shot a few-we busted our rumps for all of one tree duck and we did quit early and like aways, saw plenty ducks as we were leaving but dat always de case.NShore devoid of big ducks, other than very few mallards and mottled ducks BUT there may be some huge flocks of tree ducks there for the taking!!!I totally messed up today letting HUGE flock skate by w/o a shot being fired but older son nabbed nice one that soared over his fine azz pond!!!Good luck,we might resort to targeting woodies!!

Steelsprayer,I wonder if those Black-Bellied Tree ducks have displaced the woodies as I know a lady who lives on Bayou Lacombe and she sees tons of Black-Bellied Tree ducks and she said they have taken over the wood duck nesting boxes and when an 'invasive species' comes in and displaces another species, aint a good thing.Too bad the LAWLF won't allow us to blast tree ducks when they are even more prevalent, teal season.Folks feed em on Bayou Lacombe and while it may be neat having them on your manicured lawns,if they truly displace a native,or migratory, species, how much have ya accomplished??
