Anyone Having Success on Deer with Archery

Reply
Been busting it trying to shoot a few basically evasive and sometimes non-existent ducks and do have nice deer club near me inn Lacombe area and know that at least 2 decent racked-deer have been taken, both with rifles and my spot is tailor-made for archery, have decent Barnett crossbow that has quite a punch to it,hit stand three times so far(I know that is precious little stand time)and today,Wifey dropped me off made the 10 min walk to tall tree stand she and I built many years ago, extremely comfortable but quite a chore to climb into-about 20 ft up huge live oak and game cam has captured plenty video footage of racked bucks, both fine 8 pt and herd of does but my luck never seems to work out.Today,Wifey said she saw deer on nearby pipeline, not terribly far from where my stand is and few years ago,had doe wind me,high-tail it and escape but that was when we could only shoot does on week ends(how wasteful and dumb, especially for a self-employed person like me)!!Most of all the deer activity caught on Browning Strike Force game cam has been between 4:30 -5:00 am and 10:30 pm-midnight with a little activity right around 6:30 pm(how dem deer know-maybe someone gave em Rolex watches)!!!Today and the other two deer hunt days have yielded zero spotting of deer, plenty of songbirds and squirrels and rabbits but so far NO DEER!!!

A bag of rice bran dumped into the thickest growth available. Clear a 20 yard shooting lane and sit in the briars with your turkey vest. You’ll see deer during legal shooting hours with this set up. Good luck and shoot straight.
