LOCAL Bob's Bayou Black Marina in serious trouble

Bob's Bayou Black Marina Inc is facing being shut down because the landowner adjacent to them wants to put a permanent gate on the canal that Bob's Marina customers use to access the Intracoastal Waterway.

This is just another example of the water access issue we have here in Louisiana threatening small business, as if they need anymore trouble after 2020!

We are asking that you call/email your legislator (use the special page linked below) and ask them to fight for water access this legislative session.

Who is the landowner supposedly wanting to put a gate up?

Dollar to a donut....Continental Land & Fur.

1. Why would Continental block it? That’s how a lot of lease holders gets to their lease.

2. I do not see where Continental owns any property between Bobs and the intracostal.

The dispute is between Bob's and Williams (the oil and gas company). This is the same dispute that almost shut them down in 2019. But they agreed to a new lease.

The land in question is the canal connecting the marina to the Shell Canal.
