speckle searcher : yep time has finally demised our way of duck hunting , weather , food ( 🌽 ) in ponds have changed the flight patterns of migrating ducks , dogris don’t feed to much on 🌽 more towards fish and vertebrates ,tired of MT skies that’s why I put down the gun and picked up my poles , now I fish 12 months a year, I don’t think it will ever change back too the good ole days of great hunts from our past , 🧙‍♂️🎣

speckle_searcher,At least ya had some waterfowl to target. We are lucky if we get few trophy mottled ducks that wanna cooperate. Yep another bust of regular season after such a stellar teal season. Gonna give de ducks few more hunts and just texted Bayoubob as not sure what we gonna do tomorrow. Have fairly strong NW winds which bring ZERO ducks only drain whatever water we have left. 😬

I woke up Sunday morning @ 5:00 A.M., stepped outside the houseboat to check the water temperature and depth, saw the fog and could not see the canal bank from the houseboat. Felt the warm air temperature and swatted a mosquito. Made the immediate decision that I had another week of primitive weapons season to shoot a deer and went back to sleep!
