De look on your son's face tells it all-how awesome it indeed is to bag a banded bird and especially a fine one like dat one!!Bayoubob has been hunting waterfowl for probably close to 41 years,I have shade over half dat and neither of us has yet bagged banded waterfowl.Luckily for me,I did bag a banded Jake in Sherburne WMA many, many years ago and it was quite an accomplishment, hope to one day bag banded waterfowl!!!Perhaps the only saving grace in a terrible waterfowl season would have been for either or both of us to bag banded bird.Few seasons ago I shot SAmerican species,Banded Teal, and the ONLY reasonable expectation is that a small flock of those fine teal escaped a Slidell aviary and if the Teal had been a drake, mighta mounted it!!Congrats to your son!!!Shifting gears and strategies for fresh/salt water fishing and living on NShore affords plenty opportunities for sac a lait, bass, reds, flounders, etc!!!Might be making Hopedale trip this Monday!!!
