Me and the wife headed out to our honey hole in the Bayou canals between Gauche and Des Allemands weather was grey skies and a bit breezy with the weather change at our door...managed to score some beauties....

Very fine catch, indeed!!Watched a bunch of very fine You-Tube videos of some folks making some neat core-shot swimbaits and just ordered a fine 3.5 Do-It Ripper swimbait mold plus injector and gonna try my hand at making bunch of custom swim-baits and get after some T-Funky slabs soon, trouble is freezing cold here in Mandeville and was hoping to get out BUT hate fishing when air temp hover just at the freezing level!!!Nice catch and even better eating, congrats!!

P.S. Watching LA Outdoors with Kevin Ford fishing down in Dularge!!

Mandevillian I would like to report to you that while running my trap line today above Amite I jumped a nice flock of beautiful Mallards out of a secluded pond by the river it was great to see them and some nice wood ducks as well. see what a little cold weather can do lol

Awesome on seeing flock of both mallards as well as woodies. My game plan is to start chasing T-Funky slabs and get ready for Honey Island Swamp mini-lobsters as well. Would love to explore some sloughs where we might spook up some woodies and catch some fine crawfish. Bet tiny crawfish would encore a sac a lait riot🦞
