Twitch Bait Time

With all this bad weather lately and being locked down at home decided to service my fishing gear , glad I did ! So this morning it was pot luck just go out there and see what’s biting , didn’t take long for the trout to find my plug , I kept 4 trout for supper and let go 10 , nice girls to spawn this spring , lost 3 on side of boat , trying to flip them in , still don’t use dat net haha , biggest trout was 24 1/2 inches, didn’t have my scale today but will put it back in boat , even catching a nice kitty cat on my plug which I released as well . 🧙‍♂️🎣

Wiz,Not sure what happened to my reply but here goes try#2!!Thanks,as always,for texting me after your trip today and at the time I replied,was seriously considering a solo Honey Island tree rat trip but I wore de ole body out burning tons of log debris caused by the seriously high winds we have had recently.Think my next and probably last trip of tree rat season gonna be this Th.Definitely want to get back out fishing and early Spring is one of the best times for NShore anglers-plenty of fine and fat slabs in T-Funky,Bayou Lacombe bout as close to me as your St.Bernard playgrounds are to you and the reds in the grassbeds PLUS fine specks should be pretty much everywhere on NShore.Bayou Lacombe should be about prime at end of March and dem specks must text dem St.Bernard specks as both nail MirroDines like dey live pogeys!!

P.S. Wifey,grandson and I had awesome meal at relatively new Mandeville eatery,Saltines.Older son just started shucking oysters there on Tues evenings and we enjoyed 4 dozen on half shell!!!
