Too late. Everyone has left. I only check once per month to read the 5 unique reports that accumulate after one whole month (this does not include the useless guide reports, and there aren't even many of those anymore).

The reports are now on Facebook, for better or worse.

I have been trying it but don't like it at all - bad move by somebody

Yep. The old format wasn't great, but was a whole lot better than the current mess.

It's difficult to understand why LAS doesn't go to the format most forums use. One only need to compare the traffic on the Texas Hunting Forum (https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forum_summary) to the the traffic on the LA Sportsman forum to see how significant format is.

Totally agree with new format. Figure lack of reports might be because of the weather. Just wish they would pull the Ban the nets, its bee up since Aug 2020 a, figure someone is just clicking it to have it remain front and center.
Is there another site for fishing reports in LA? Guess I'll need one after asking the question?

To be fair, LAS must make a profit, and the reports are not a profit-maker. But they should make money with ads if it was done correctly, and more effectively drive eyeballs with real reporting. As for ads, they are showing one for Nissan, and turkey hunting (really?).

Facebook fishing groups has the best updates and info nowadays, but you have to push through a lot of drivel. LAS reports were a community with good reports. They killed it for 'website progress'.

Pathfinder,1000% agree dat the new format leaves a lot to be desired and don't matter an iota what ya pay for info as plenty folks go to Facebook sites for reports that are free, free, free and I NEVER have used Facebook and will NEVER use Facebook but have a few trusted fishing buddies that go to Facebook and keep me in the loop.Personally have not had much of a chance to wet a line lately but dat gonna change and can''t wait to chase some Honey Island mini-lobsters!!Hate new format and this is ONLY site I go to to post do look at one other site for tide tables and got maybe one diehard dat seems to post on dat site!!

Mandevillian, fed up with this moron-in-charge in White House(guess dey gonna change name of White House as racist!!!)Beware HR1,radical changes in elections, gun control-been monitoring goings and comings in White House via trusted Hannity and Company and OAN(One America News-channel 347 on Direct TV,well worth tuning into)!!We conservatives need to unite against Radical Regime and maybe stage some peaceful protests at locations where the Moron-in-Command trying to sell this pork he signed into law!!

Watch just one hour of Hannity and Company to catch latest Biden gaffes-plenty to go around-why ya think he NEVER answers a single question-CAN'T!!

Not really sure what John C is referring to (can you give specific LAS example?). But YouTube has also become a great resource for fishing information, and its free with ads. We can't subscribe to everything -- people have limited budgets.

Dr.Spot,Yep,You-Tube has excellent recent videos and feel sorry for Joel Masson as he was fishing with his dad and Capt Justin Bowles and poor Joel lost fine bait caster to de drink and looked like it blew his concentration rest of trip!I came awfully close to dat many years ago fishing the Power Line Pilings(getting to be bout dat time of year, especially if predominant wind pattern Southerly, for those of us on NShore). What happened to me is nice red slammed lure and I had just caught nice fish and hands were a tad slimy and thank God I had older version Curado, the big-ole green ones and it just so happened to lodge into my left hand, woulda been bummed like poor Joel!!!

Mandevillian, definitely NOT a fan of new format!!

The reports used to be grouped by area. So, for example, if you were looking for a Grand Isle report, you'd just click on that area. Now you have no idea where the report is coming from without reading through every single post.
