Not T Day Tough T Funky Trip 4 12 21

Had very low expectations today and was lucky to catch anything and luckily caught two bass and zero sac a lait.Took our beloved chocolate lab,Molly, think she woulda revolted had I decided to leave her at home!Launched at favorite T-Funky launch,3 Rivers, and found extremely stained T-Funky water and expectations were extremely low and one bass came via tight-lined Spoiler Shad, tipped with Pink Crappie Psychic trailer and other bass came via Slab Daddy jigging pole with slip cork set at about 4 ft with Spoiler Shad, again tipped with Pink Crappie Psychic trailer.Sac a lait musta been in hiding, chatted with at least 4 fishermen and no one had any sac a lait, one gent, fishing market shrimp, had 5 blue catfish and not sure if anyone else caught much. Also, wanted to send out shout-out to fine folks at Covington Tractor Supply as I ordered 3-100 ft rolls of 6ft welded wire to use to encircle our fine vegetable garden and keep deer and rabbits at bay and somehow their logistics company LOST my rolls of fencing wire.My dilemma was that I wanted to fence garden and the option of re-ordering would have been not best option as who is to say second on-line order would likewise not get lost and I contacted local Tractor Supply folks, they had two rolls of 6 ft and two rolls of 8 ft welded wire, left over from a Global Wildlife fencing operation that yielded surplus wire that Tractor Supply gladly wanted to get rid of,$100/roll for incredibly sturdy fencing and got it delivered yesterday and used Kubota to drag wire rolls from driveway, where they dropped off rolls,to garden site, probably about 800 ft away!!Hope to get back out, once ole T-Funky gets right maybe after few days of NO rain.Wifey and I do have nice get-away,got selected for upcoming Sherburne WMA Wild Turkey Hunt this Sat/Sun and Little Alabama Bayou reminds us of T-Funky with gorgeous,at times, swamp water, and plenty of fish to pursue!!

Another tough day, Mande. Meant to tag up but had problems at Liberty Trace. Refrigerator/freezer quit working and had to move all food to outdoor kitchen. Tractor broke an alternator belt and had to run to town to get one. Worked until late Sunday night. All creeks and rivers muddy and out of their banks between Mandeville and Liberty. Lake Liberty Trace is crystal clear, but had no time to fish. Need rain to stop & water to clear!!!

Funny thing,CCAguns,is that Buddy texted me saying he shoulda gone today and both you and he woulda been totally disappointed!!!Think we got nasty weather headed our way again, bummer, and not sure when ole T-Funky gonna get back to decent conditions.Hope Wifey and I catch a few fine fish this Fri-Sun,in between chasing elusive wild turkeys in Sherburne WMA.Got awesome deal on incredibly well-built welded wire fencing and now got huge fencing project to get underway,in addition to what seems like never-ending repairs on my mom's Kenner rental!!!Guess I can't complain as we have gotten incredibly busy enrolling both Individual as well as Medicare Clients!!

Headed across the T-Funky soon,on our way to Sherburne WMA for what we hope to be a decent Lottery Wild Turkey hunt and judging by raging, muddy T-Funky as of late, hope Sherburne WMA is indeed open and if not, guess we could always try the False River!!!Can't wait til T-Funky settles down and the numerous and chunky sac a lait cooperate!!
