AJ,Dat ole fella quite a soft plastics fisherman-hope and pray dat I make it to 91!!Had to tell recently deceased Abita KC member's widow about how he musta blessed me two consecutive days, fishing crowded Trestles.First was when group of guys(Mon)got WAY to close for my liking and I kept my lips sealed, uttered short prayer,God send me very fat 20 inch speck dat I AJ-flipped onto deck of SouthFork and fellows to the N saw nice boat-flipped fish flopping onto aluminum deck(noise it made added to my revenge)and I made short move tad S,was making sure to give boater plenty of room(he was leaving)and I made exactly ONE cast, snared braided line and quickly tried to get line off my fluro and realized it had fish(initially suspected doggone sting ray)and to my surprise,hand-lined in very nice and fat blue catfish.Same day,foul-hooked big speck in butt and netted this fish and on Tues, somehow managed to gig small but plenty fine flounder,Pro-S jighead hook impaled flounder and I netted him as well!!Guess my deceased buddy was smiling down on me!!Think I joked with ya bout needing a counter as I mis-counted(though no where near solo limit of specks, missed ton both days)as I knew fully well I had 7 on Mon,thought I had 6 on Tues but once grandson helped me get fish outta box to clean, found I had 7 specks!!Nice haul,as usual, keep de rest of us thrilled bout ya fishing expeditions!!Might see de SouthFork out tomorrow!!!
P.S. Guy leaving spot told me he saw fellow break off line, not knowing what he had hooked and I jokingly told him to find guy and I would gladly give him very nice fat blue catfish-they are great eating, especially one this size!!
