Was not gonna bother with trying a Lake P trip, based upon predicted wind speed and direction and thought perhaps a T-Funky trip might be a decent plan B and had fairly low expectations once I saw flag at Bill Hood Chevy in Covington, looked like S winds were ripping at least 20 mph!!Got to launch, had beloved ole chocolate Lab,Molly, with me and unfortunately forgot polarized sunglasses in Jeep,no big deal, fished a few spots fairly close to launch and went back to vehicle and retrieved glasses, hoping I would find decent water and some decent fishing!!!Guess ya can't win everyday and was extremely fortunate to nab two fish, first one being a skinny blue catfish and second one smallish but fat perch and I kept both for not only the joy grandson gets watching his Paw Paw clean fish but also wanted few more fish carcasses for crawfish and crab bait.Wifey and I celebrating 36th wedding anniversary tomorrow and hope to nab some fat Lake P crabs and older son and grandson wanna tag along with Paw Paw this coming Friday, possibly headed to Honey Island Swamp for crawfish trip!!!Did receive some great news this past Sat as older son did succeed in capturing nice honey bee swarm(initially thought we may have caught two swarms but looks like one HUGE swarm was nabbed)!!!I did miss a few fish today, jigging with Slab Daddy pole and Spoiler Shad,Blue and Clear with pink Crappie Psychic trailer.Chatted with basser who reported having five bass,I had zero bass!!Hope tomorrow Wifey and I manage to catch bunch of fine Lake crabs.
