First Annual Jackfest Memorial

First Annual “Jack Fest Memorial” in remembrance of a very good friend Jack Legendre was a success. Never a dull moment with Jack, he was always cutting up and making everyone laugh. Jack loved coming down to Dularge to fish and we always had a good time over all the years. Jack kicked started this big group fishing together last year, so this year 26 guys got together to meet up again and do it all over in remembrance of Jack. Fun time was had and lots of great food, fishing, camaraderie, a few cold beverages, and many stories were told. Special thanks to Justus Corley and Brent Ward for getting everyone together to make the trip happen.

Weather wasn’t perfect for us with winds up causing rough seas and storms, but all the boats caught fish both days. Our trip on my boat day 1 was cut short due to some sea sickness issues, so no pics from day one. Day two was better as we got on some trout early before being pushed in by a huge storm and blackness across the entire gulf. We came in and soaked crabs and the guys had a triple hook up on “big nasties” the first drop. Everyone got to feel the pull of the drag pullers!! Great time with good people, miss you Jack.

Big thanks to Capt’s Travis, Kevin, Jared, Lonnie, Shawn, and Austin for running the other boats for this big crew.
