Does anyone have any success for Sac-a-lait near the Mandeville lake front? I was wondering if anyone has any luck near Bayou Chinchuba, the Mandeville boat launch and also Bayou castine?

LA Av8or,Your best bet for sac a lait most likely gonna be a few places, like the fine T-Funky,Bayou Lacombe, and Tangi River, though Tangi River pretty stained,at least last time I checked. The T-Funky holds an incredible amount of sac a lait and I need to find some time to check her out, pronto!!Good luck and black/chartreuse tube jigs always seem to work and I was having great success with small Spoiler Shad swimbaits, fishing them either tight-lined(be prepared to lose bunch of lures to snags on bottom)or under slip cork and adjust depth as need arises!Crappie nibbles also enhances ya chances!!

Looking to bring my dad out sac-a-last fishing tomorrow in bayou Lacombe. New to area but heard this time year they’ll be deep and not in too busy moving water.

Anything good south of trailhead jogging trail? Any other good suggestions on what to look for or use?
