Good looking fish, Wiz. I’m definitely ready to get out and chase some fish, myself. Boat is still at the shop getting all the annual maintenance and PM work done. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful catch! I love to read you and Mandevillians reports. I LOVE fishing Delacroix for trout and reds, but don't get to go too often. Hoping to make a trip in 2 weeks, weather permitting. Any advice that could help us have a successful trip? What areas, or what type of water.....big lakes or bayous? Just any advice from fisherman like you, or any of the men and women on here, would be greatly appreciated from a weekend warrior like me. Keep catching and reporting! Thanks!

Micahwelder : thanks for the comment , don’t know what you use for catching fish. but I might suggest that you get some type of bait , if you can find cockahoes that would be my suggestion, as of right now trout are chasing glass minnows and smaller finfish, mullets , pogie’s prime trout foods. I don’t use any type of bait or use a cork , strictly artificial for me like that hard plastic plugs , imitating small bait fish , try around the pipelines starting at lake John and between there and 4 Horse lake , look at the cuts along the pipelines for bait activity , soft plastic will work chartreuse or clear would be my suggestion cork or free lining use the lites jig heads you got , good luck ???????????????

Definitely take de Wiz’s sage advice. Been slammed with Medicare Consulting business and hoping to get a chance to possibly nab some T-Funky sac-a-lait and bass tomorrow. Do not get nearly the time to fish lately like de Wiz does but dat gonna change as soon as March 31st rolls around.

FYI : something I forgotten to mention is stelf mod at all times when you go into skinny water , trout & reds are very spooky there , trolling motor is a must unless you poling , !
