Good Day Bass Fishing

Reply
Had an opportunity to hit the lake at famous Liberty Trace Ranch just about ten miles north of the LA state line as the crow flies. Caught a nice mess of eating bass as the lake is full of 1 to 1-1/2 pounders and they do need to be removed. Had a good bass create a swirl behind my topwater bait and then suck it down with no splash or strike whatsoever. Ran about 20 yards down the side of the lake and put up a good fight. Released and swimming well after landing. Great day to be on the water!

Thanks, Wiz. Yep, we need to take out quite a few bass and bream. Fisheries guy said to take out at least 1000 bass from our 10+ acre lake, even if we have to just throw them on the bank. I can't bring myself to waste them that way. So we've got our work cut out using rod and reel - but it's fun and good eating! Keeping everything under three pounds.

CCAGUNS: my cousins pond is loaded up with copper nose bluegills and bass at one time you could catch some bid bluegills and bass but now it seems like all the fish in his pond are getting skinny , he was advised to take out everything they could catch , so he had a few fishing rodeos for family and friends kids taking out all the smaller fish in his pond and having a fish fry for everyone, sadly he can not do this anymore due too his condition having ALS, only other option is to shock the pond and start over again
