Was really hoping predicted wind speed and direction forecast was spot-on and guess ya gotta take de good with de bad as I took our beloved 10 year ole chocolate lab,Molly, and older son,AJ,and grandson,AJ,Jr. on a Trestles trip this am.We got greeted with probably 14 knot SSE winds,NOT the predicted 4 mph E winds, consequently,Lady P was a snarling ole beast but we still limped out to Trassles, went first to E side, did not make a single cast, hit W side and anchored up where on EVERY Trassles trip I have caught fish, some quality some on the skinny but keeper side and today NO exception, trouble was I had flounder spit fine Lunker City Shaker 3.75 in Limetreuse(great in stained water)right as older son had net ready-think me and Causeway Dave needs some lessons in getting fish aboard-saw AJ Lacava's You Tube!!!Did latch onto decent flounder AND get him into net, hooray!!!Water at Trestles leaving a lot to be desired and did get call from Doc Weiss just before I missed nice flounder and HAD to text him, letting him know my ROTTEN habits from yesterday had NOT improved!!!We only tried two spots on Trestles, grandson fell asleep on ride back and older son and I tried jigging in Bayou Liberty, all we got was casting practice!!!!Was planning return to Big Bridge tomorrow might instead try chunking gold spoons and MirroDines in some likely target-rich spots!!!
