mulletsqisher : yesterday ventured just about 20 miles of marsh chasing reds , water was higher than before and winds were kicking , no sight of any ducks to be found , wanna the reasons I gave it it , to many MT skies from seasons past , as I was running around I’ve noticed that the grasses have been dying back earlier , we haven’t had much rain , and the diversions haven’t been running very much or not , the water has become a lot more salty early this year , a few duck ponds ived chased reds in were covered with grass are now empty from what I can see , teal eat small seeds , not much good for them to find in higher water in or marshes , as for big ducks , they now have that imprint of flooded corn fields up north that they don’t have fly any farther than the next corn fields with heated ponds now , how sad it has become and j see no changes being done about it up north , to many politicians involved i assume : Good Luck folks this season , I’ll be out there fishing !
