Has anybody noticed a lack of squirrels in the woods? I've got 48 acres of bottomland hardwoods and no squirrels. I see very few birds also.

Sounds odd. Seems to be a good crop of squirrels this year. What kind of mast crop do you have in your woods?

Live oaks,water oaks,red oaks and white oaks. The acorns are there,just very few squirrels and birds since Hurricane Ida.

Yes,I have noticed fewer to no squirrels. This year is the first I have made a hunt that I didn't even see a squirrel. I hunt a couple of areas where I have always seen squirrels until this year. Don't know what's going on. No ducks anymore and now hardly any squirrels.

Maybe because they are hunted by hunters. Caramels
