To keep the camera from being stolen do the following. Get one without a flash. Place at some elevation other than chest/eye level, ideally looking downward. Have it hidden by vegetation and such as much as possilbe. The cable lock is a no brainer.
Grew up in the old Irish channel of NO and if you had your name on anything they let it alone(trash can for sure). Bigger and brigher the better it works on boats,motors,trailers etc.
