CVA OPTIMA PRO

Reply
I have just purchased the CVA optima pro and was just wanting to get some feed back on the gun. It sure feels good and balanced and looks to be well made. I understand that it is capable of shooting 150+yards. Is this true????

I have been shooting the same grain bullet with 100 grains of powder in my old muzzleloader and they have been great!!
I have been thinking of dropping to 225 grain power belt bullets.

Because there the only 45 cal bullets I can find around my house. Every store stocks accesseries for .50 cal around here. Thats the only thing I don't like about my .45. I can't complain though the 295s leave a blood trail a blind man could follow.

try the barnes spitfire 290gr. with 100gr. loose triple seven.i have a kodiak and this load shoots real good in it.the barnes leave a massive hole in a deer.

different loads and bullets from your friends and pick a load that works for your gun. If you want extreme accuracy go with loose powder so that you can move up or down in small increments.

For me the muzzlloader is meant to be 125 yd. gun (I know it is better than that, but that's my self imposed limit, please let's not turn the guy's thread into a shouting match)and you can use the pellets for convenience with anything from 0 to 125 yds.
