Lock on stands

Reply
I am in the market for a lock on stand, and was wondering if anyone has tried the Millennium stand. If there is any other lock on that is comfortable, roomy and stable that I should also take a look at, please let me know. Also what kind of ladder/ sticks are the best. I will be using the stand mostly for bowhunting.

it is well built and is top of the line in comfort--in my opinion--in fact, I am getting a second one; also, it is very easy to put up and I combine it with the Lone Wold sticks for a fairly light weight, roomy, comfortable bow stand combo

Those Millennium Lock-on stands I some of the most comfortable lock-on stands you will find. I would say an excellent choice.

I agree totally. I use the stand with 4 of the Lone Wolf Sticks and that is the ultimate combo.
If you have property where you have multiple stand sites. Just hang extra receivers and utilize just 1 loc-on.

Get it, you'll love it.

where is the best place to get the Millennium? Sabine pool in Gonzales has them for $180.00

Thats about as good a price as you will get. They started out at about $159.99 three years ago and have steady went up as they got popular. I think they are running around $190 = $200 in most places.

I bought 5 lock-ons at Wal-Mart for $50.00 a pop. It puts me up in a tree...anything else is a waste of $$.

I personally think you will be alot safer as well as more comfortable with the millenium.
Everyone has their own opinion, but I personally don't think it is a waste of money.

Check out Skeeter Wilson's web site.. His stands are some of the best I've seen.. Me and a buddy of mine have 16 of his lock on's.. He also has the sticks to go with them... They have a very safe way that they secure to the tree.
I think his web site is www.deerstands.net

I've used a few different lock-ons and the millenium is by far the best. It is really easy to put in the tree, I use the millenium in conjunction with rapid rails, and it is the most comfortable stand I have ever used. They are very quiet also, you can slam the seat down as hard as you can and it doesnt make a sound. Archery and fishing unlimited in Hammond sells them for around $169. They are well worth the price. You cant go wrong with that stand.

The lone wolf sticks are the way to go, for portability. If you are going to leave the stand in the woods, try anything else. I use the stick and the Alpha lock-on, but that's b/c I hunt public, and walk in and out with my stuff daily. If i were going to leave something in the woods, the weight wouldn't matter, and the expense would b/c someone might steal your stuff, so I'd go with a cheaper set-up, that might be more secureable on the tree. If the Millenium is $180, you may as well get a Lone Wolf for around the same. Look on e-bay.

Just my 2 cents but the concept of the millennium treestand is not a loc-on. A loc-on is meant to stay and not be moved. If you gonna move from one bracket to next then you may as well have a climber. Buy 3 true loc-ons for same price or for comfort buy 2 Loggy Bayou's for same price.

I do have to agree with everyone about the Lone Wolf Sticks though. Good Luck!
