Deer&acorns

Does anyone know which one they prefer, I mean they have green ones on the ground but I can't see that they are after them yet, do you think they prefer them to turn brown?

Deer prefer freshly fallen acorns but I am sure they'll eat brown ones when there nothing else. They also prefer white oaks over any other.

Are the acorns falling good in your area? I'm in area 6 and not many on the ground. Looks like they may be just starting to fall. Deer aren't showing up in the spots like last year. Last year seems like the acorns feel earlier.

My dad and grandfather have always told me that just because a tree has acorns dose'nt mean that the deer will eat them. Same as a persimon tree. They prefer Acorns from certian trees. Why I do not know? I just know that where I hunt it is that way. Weather they are sweeter or healthier from tree I don't know. But I do know that they hit the same trees year after year. If anybody knows why this is so please tell me If this is BullS@#$ or not.
