Hogs

I've posted a couple of times inquiring about hogs in Norwood. Sounds like everyone sees them on every side of us, but they aren't seen on our lease. We don't find any wallows either. Was wondering if it would be worth setting a trap or if they're not seen and wallows arent either, I might be wasting my time. We have majority different age cutover and hardwoods only on the creek bottoms. Wondering where I should concentrate my search? Is there another kind of sign besides wallows to look for?

In addition to wallows you will see much more often than anything, rootings, where the hogs basically till the earth looking for morsels. Hogs like wet, sloppy areas, they don't like high, dry ground. If you have them you will have rootings.

I posted the other day, I am the one who hunts across from you and I will tell you that the hogs move from day to day. If you don't have hogs now you will have them later. Look on the side of trees for mud. We have mostly cutover with hills and bottoms, the hogs live in our cutovers and rome at night. Put a corn feeder out and put a camera out to see if you can get some pictures.
