Tensas

Does anyone know the name and have the phone #'s for the campgrounds closest to the Sharkey check station in Tensas. I know there are 2 there, 1 primitive and 1 with hook-ups. Also what is the cost per person/night?

The name of the camp site is Hunter Bend Camp Ground. The owners name is Kenny Wallace. The phone number is 318-574-5757. If you are planning to go this weekend, you probally will not get a spot. This year has been a terrible year for Tensas. The first gun hunt, only killed 242 deer. As for the cost, I am not sure. I have a camp accross from the camp ground and kenny is a good fried of mine.

hey pldhunt the campground by sharkey is WILLHEIGHTS the # is (318) 574-2641, there is also another one further down the same road going to africa lake f/ willheights called GUMBO ACRES # is (318) 722-3338 both have hook-ups, will be in willheights for this weekend hunt, good luck to u'r group
