I work shifts and I'm coming home in 5 days for 2 weeks. I don't like that report at all! I hunt the east side and before I came to work, there was nothing happening either. I hope that it gets cold next week, that might be what the deer needs to move during the day!

i bow hunted it some 8 to 9 days ago and was not seeing a thing till at or after dark, then hunted on the ind. bayou hunt that weekend and busted out over there also, my regular spots that i always see or kill in were dead, sign was there but no movement, and i was in the woods before daylight and hunted in the evenings also, maybe we will do better on sherburne for the somke pole, thats when i like to hunt it anyways

we hunted friday on the south end, didnt see a thing all day...saturday morning was a different story...i had deer all over me...i seen 8, all does and yearlings...didnt really wanna shoot but i ended up missing a big doe, i was mainly looking for horns...and my buddy killed a small doe...but they were moving REALLY good ahead of that front...probably try to make it back for bucks only or ML.

I hunted half a day on saturday and saw nothing. Sunday was a different story though. I was done by 7:40 with a 170lb 2 1/2 year old 6 point on the ground.

We started to see some activity on the East Side in the past couple of days. We actually started seeing bucks feeding with does.. that's rare for us. Saw 4 racks in 2 hunts when it was cold and the wind wasn't blowing. They aren't rutting from what I could find. No scrapes or none running does yet.

Got a late start on Thursday, was up in the stand at 7am. 8:30 saw small doe. Stayed up there all day, and shot at 3:30. Killed a 6pt going roughly 165lbs. Hunted on the South end.
