What kind of fun would that be? I think those people NEED Widow BADLY. The buck/doe ration way out of wack. I guess that's what you get when you don't kill does.

EAGLE LAKE
Someone sent me those same pics and said it was from around Eagle lake, just north of Vicksburg. I don't know if my source is that reliable. At least the deer are smarter than the residents of wonkaville.

Is it real?

Looks like Utah!!
I went to Utah about 2 months ago and I saw a herd like that!! I was shocked and thought it was some type of petting zoo at first, nope it was just winter time in Utah!!

Illionois
Looks like Illinois. Went there and in the evening around 200 deer just started walking into the field.

LA
I second LA...the river is VERY high right now from the Spring snow melt up north.

Flooding
The MDWF put out a statement concerning deer being forced out by flood waters and how they should not be harrassed in any way. A lot of areas over there are under water and will probably get worse before things improve. I friend of mine that lives over there say deer are being pushed out in large numbers. There's a law on the books that prohibits wildlife harrassment and I am sure they will enforce it when deer are concentrated like that. That's an awesome sight to see. I have seen numbers like that in some of those alfalfa fields in Montana.....

REAL
I got this in an email earlier this week .... Supposed to be from Vicksburg, Ms. area. Near a Power plant of some kind. HIGH river water pushed deer out the woods..

Ground Check
Hey Widow, ever seen those movies when they are slinging the arrows one after an another till the skies are black with arrows soaring and the enemy is dropping like flies! Ya know, those old religous wars! What a GROUND CHECK that would be on these deer!

Funny stuff
Its always nice to come read Widows post and see how he can butcher the English language. By the way its "or" not "are" if you had finished the 7th grade you would have learned that. I bet Louisiana Sportsman is so proud of itself for writing that article now, which by the way was so educational. Grow up, every time you respond to a post you make some stupid immature comment. hehehehehehe Give us a break.

Herds
I e-mailed my brother in Vicksburg about this. He is retired from the
Corps. of Engineers. He said he has heard reports of herds of over 200
deer
on the levees north of V'burg. The cause is the high water and flooded

lowlands. The deer have no where else to go but the levees.
