Catfish in New Orleans

Went to fish the river at the the butterfly behind Audubon Park and the Zoo last Friday and caught some good catfish. We were fishing cut bait on the bottom with heavy weights. I don't know how much the blue thats pictured weighed but we also caught a smaller channel cat, he was around 12 pounds. Good to know you can catch good fish in basically the middle of the city.

I can be responsible for only so long. I have been forcing myself to work and I have to say, you guys posting these pics of massive river cats are making things very hard!! The winds look like they are laying down enough to make a trip!! I'm taking off work tomorrow and going fishing!!

Good job Will...yall about that big cat i talked to one of the people that went out on this bank fishing trip and they said that cat was probably around 35#. A lotta people seem to be catching nice cats with the high river and I think were gonna try and go again this week after school so well keep yall updated on the uptown bank fishing.
