Looking for a new boat

Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with the Express X22 Bay Boat? I have read the post from Rincon on the ordeal he is going through and I will not be purching my boat from that dealer. Any advice would be appreciated. I mostly fish out of Morgan City area like Halter Island, Blue Hammock, Pelligran Cut areas. Wondering how it performs in a chop and is it a fairly dry hull.

Not in a chop
Man, it won't perform well in a chop, it is aluminum. Don't get me wrong, I like aluminum hulls over fiberglass in certain situations, but in a chop is not one of them. It will beat you up and pound in a chop, period.

willing to sacrifice
I am willing to sacrifice some ride comfort strictly due to the cost of a comprable size fiberglass boat. I had a aluminum bay boat before and I was well satisfied with it. I just have never rode in the express hull.

X22 bay
I am buying a X22B from G&F in Raceland,LA.I would call Eric (owner) and ask for a test ride. I drove it and runs great with the 150 HP 4 stroke Yamaha (52-55 mph on GPS). I think he has a tan with dark green sides in his shop. His boats are coming in every 2 weeks (depending on color you want). Of course if you order a special that could be the problem on delivery. The X22B comes loaded with eveything. AS far as the chop, they are right, a fiberglass boat is the way, but for the price , you can't beat it. I shopped, and that is the best deal. He also has Blazer Bay, but the $$$ comes back into play and I didn't want to spend that much right now.
