Looking for some help

Reply
Some buddies and I are interested in fishing some Reds in the marshes around the Houma area. If anyone could help with Boat launches, places to fish, or even GPS coordinates, I would greatly appreciate it. I had gone fish with a buddy in the Leeville area and caught really well, looking for something a bit closer to home. Thanks again! My email is shrogawn@yahoo.com

If you go type LouisianaMap in your address bar you go to a website the lists all the public boat launches by enter the area you want to be in. I think the address is www.lamap.doa.state.la.us

Hope this helps!!!

Launch at Madison Canal, cross Madison Bay and go into Bayou Barre. Head south in Barre to Lake Tambour. There is a ton of Marsh around Lake Tambour that hods nice reds. The water is Crystal clear. You can sight cast to them. If you want to go to Dularge, launch at the end of the road and head south down the bayou. When you reach Grand Pass, Sister lake will be to your left and Lake Mechant will be to your right. The marsh around both of those lakes are full of reds. Try Bayou Saveur, and Bayou Dunord off of Sister Lake. You can als odo well in the main lakes along the shorelines. As always whe nfishing for reds, be careful as there are a lot of shallow waters in the marsh. Good Luck!

we have always said that in cocodrie you can catch reds anytime , but we target specs. fishing anywhere along bayou petit calliou, or bayou terrebone working the banks will get you a limit real fast. also lapyerouse canal, also anywhere you see rocks fish there, using dead shrimp, cracked crab or live bull minnows. i hope this helps. ed
